What is Sound Healing?
Sound healing therapy is an ancient practice that is global and has been around for centuries. It uses tonal frequencies to bring the body into a state of vibrational balance and harmony.
During a sound healing session, also known as a sound bath, you will sit in a comfortable position and simply listen, or “bathe” in soothing sounds.
Singing bowls, gongs, Tibetian bowls, tuning forks, and drums are the instruments that practitioners most often use in sessions. Nonetheless, a practitioner can use any anything to create a tone or sound (including ones voice) to invoke the shift in vibrational frequency the practitioner is looking to achieve.
What is Breathwork?
Breathwork refers to any type of breathing exercise or technique.
Listening to our own breath can allow us to calm our own thoughts and observe them without judgment.
This promotes control but more importantly discipline, and offers a variety of benefits.
Often times, listening for your breathe can be difficult, and mindfulness is hard to achieve.
Working with a practitioner can help delve deep in your sub-consciousness.
